By Air

Louisville International Airport, served by a large number of domestic carriers, is located 7 miles from downtown Louisville.

Delta Air Lines offers a 10% discount on all published round-trip fares to any of the Derby Festival events. To obtain the discount, call Delta Meeting Network Reservations at 1-800-241-6760 and refer to file number 192901A. A further 5% discount is given if you book tickets more than 60 days in advance.

By Car

Eastbound (From New Albany):

Take Exit 9 onto Taylor Boulevard and then proceed north for under a mile to Longfield Avenue. Continue for a mile to Queen Avenue. On Queen Avenue, travel 1.2 miles to Central Avenue. Turn right off Taylor to Churchill Downs.

Westbound (From I-64 – Lexington or St. Louis):

Take Exit 10 onto 3rd Street and then proceed north on Southern Parkway. Follow the signs to Churchill Downs – a drive of about one mile.

Southbound (From Indianapolis):

Take Exit 132 onto Crittenden Drive and then the first right onto Central Avenue. Continue for about 1.6 miles to reach Churchill Downs.

Northbound (from Nashville or from Louisville International Airport)

Take I-264 West (Watterson Expressway) to Exit 10, onto 3rd Street, and then turn north onto Southern Parkway. Follow the signs to Churchill Downs.

From Louisville Centre

Follow Third Street south for about three miles and then turn right onto Central Avenue. Churchill Downs is three blocks ahead, on the left.

Kentucky Derby Parking

For Kentucky Derby travel, all parking at Churchill Downs is reserved. However, additional parking is available at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium, for $10.00 per vehicle. A regular shuttle will run from there to the track. For information, you can call 636 4400.
